To support the Technical Department in ensuring all aspects of product manufacture comply with required quality standards, legislation, product specifications, and HACCP procedures.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Instruct and supervise QC operatives to ensure their daily duties are performed efficiently and accurately.
- Support and deputize for the Technical Manager on daily technical matters.
- Manage QA Supervisors, including oversight of holiday scheduling and general team coordination.
Quality & Compliance Management
- Maintain a cost-effective quality function within the poultry factory.
- Ensure all food safety and quality standards meet customer and legislative requirements.
- Conduct internal audits including:
- Hygiene/GMP
- Glass and Plastic
- Internal Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Training & Development
- Train and develop quality team members to meet both individual and company needs.
Customer & Supplier Liaison
- Work with customers and suppliers to monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Liaise with the distribution team to ensure positive release procedures are followed and that the necessary information is shared promptly.
Reporting & Analysis
- Monitor and report on factory quality performance via weekly summary reports.
- Track and evaluate KPIs to inform continuous improvement.
Product & Process Management
- Collaborate with the Product Development Technologist to ensure smooth implementation of new products.
- Take specific management responsibility for the use and cost control of cleaning chemicals on site.

Salary negotiable depending on experience
