What will the APQP Product Development Engineer do?Â
- Lead and deliver key elements of APQP: including, but not limited to: Requirements Management, Boundary Diagram, Interface Analysis, Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Verification Plans & Report (DVP&R), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Process Control Plan.
- Work with design teams to develop product architecture definition through boundary diagrams
- Develop and deliver level-appropriate requirements with linkage to levels above and below in product hierarchy
- Deliver a comprehensive list of recommended design and process actions, special process controls, and validation activities to mitigate high-risk areas
- Contribute to the concept, development, and design of complex components, subsystems, or processes
- Perform complex analysis work to identify design/process risk and develop mitigation plans
What experience does the APQP Product Development Engineer need?Â
- Demonstrated excellent APQP and analytical skills, and the ability to perform complex assignments
- Demonstrate the ability to gain a mastery of complex engineering and manufacturability concepts
- Must have a good mechanical aptitude with the ability to develop product concepts
- Self-starter with strong leadership ability and good communication skills
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in the workgroup, as well as employees in other units, customers, and suppliers
- Experience leading projects
Competitive Hourly Rate – PAYE
The location for this position is Peterlee, UK OR Desford/Leicester, UK. 5 days/week attendance in the Office is Mandatory.
