Job Title: Production Supervisor
Location: Peterlee
Salary: Competitive + Shift Allowance
Shifts: 3-shift rotation (6–2, 2–10, 10–6)
Reporting to: Production Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production operatives to achieve performance, quality, and safety targets.
- Oversee daily production activities, ensuring smooth shift handovers and effective communication between teams.
- Drive performance and efficiency using lean manufacturing principles.
- Allocate resources to meet production schedules and adapt to changing priorities.
- Work with Maintenance to address equipment issues and minimise downtime.
- Support a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement process enhancements that improve productivity and quality.
- Manage internal and customer issues, implementing robust corrective actions.
Skills and Requirements:Â
- Proven experience as a Production Supervisor (minimum 3 years in a similar environment).
- Background in automotive or precision engineering/manufacturing is essential.
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and production best practices.
- Excellent people management, communication, and organisational skills.
- Proactive leader who drives engagement, accountability, and improvement.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and production management systems.
- Analytical, reliable, and adaptable with a positive, hands-on approach.
