- Managing the general finance inbox, which receives around 5 emails per hour
- Processing accounts payable invoices
- Running BACS payments
- Daily payments and cashier duties (approx. 20% of your time)
- Bank reconciliations (20–30%)
- General ledger reconciliations
- Sales ledger and purchase ledger tasks
- Ad hoc finance tasks, including support with credit control
- Immediate availability to start
- Previous experience in a similar role, such as Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant / Accountant / Finance Officer / Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant. Ideally within an SME.
- A solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
- Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables and SUMIFs
- To be someone who takes ownership of their work and is detail-focused
- Hybrid working – 3 days in the office, 2 from home
