- Speaking with customers via phone, email and letter to resolve queries and encourage timely payments of debts
- Responding to emails and helping out with any questions about orders and invoices
- Working collaboratively within a team of 3 credit controllers
- Raising credit notes, allocating cash to correct accounts
- Negotiating and agreeing payment plans for collections
- Putting accounts on hold if payments aren’t met
- Learning to carry out credit checks on customers
- Playing your part in keeping customers happy and the business on track
- Experience in a customer-facing role such as Customer Service Assistant / Customer Service Executive / Sales Assistant / Sales Executive / Retention Specialist / Customer Service Representative / Customer Experience Assistant / Collections Advisor
- Confidence in communicating with customers via phone and maintaining excellent customer service
- Interest in building a career in finance and accounting
- Highly organised, quick to pick things up and ready to make an impact from day one
- Must be immedately available for a temporary assignment
