Electrical Technician / Electrical Assembler / Control & Instrumentation Technician

Location: Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon-Thurs: 8.30am to 4.30pm, Fri: 8.30am to 4pm, with flexi-time available)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble electrical and electronic subassemblies from schematics, drawings, or verbal instructions.

  • Wire, solder, and assemble harnesses, PCBs, control consoles, connectors, and transformer assemblies.

  • Perform troubleshooting and testing of electrical and electronic assemblies.

  • Work with low voltage AC/DC panel wiring, high-voltage installations, and control/data systems.

  • Ensure assembly build times are met to maintain department efficiency.

  • Maintain quality and safety compliance in line with ISO9001 standards.

  • Support production processes and maintain good housekeeping practices.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • 1-5 years of experience in electrical/electronic assembly or shop operations (preferred).

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.

  • Knowledge of low and high voltage installations, control systems, and fibre optic handling.

  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to work under pressure.

  • Schedule, quality, and safety awareness in a manufacturing environment.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • ONC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (preferred but not essential).

  • IEEE 18th Edition accreditation (advantageous).

  • Experience with production processes and electrical systems.
