As they continue to grow and evolve, they’re looking for a Payroll Clerk to join their dedicated finance team.
What the Payroll Job Involves?
- Working in a small payroll team you will be processing hourly and salaried staff on a monthly basis of circa 600 employees.
- Processing starters and leavers including P45’s and New Starter Checklists for HMRC.
- Calculating holiday pay in line with current legislation as well as assessing entitlement to statutory payments, such as SMP, SPP, MSP and SSP.
- You will also be responsible for uploading pension contributions to their pension provider.
- Processing PAYE payments as well as meeting HMRC submission deadlines.
- Producing P11d’s, P60’s, P45’s and any other Tax related documents.
- Calculating overtime payments with hourly uplifts, bonus payments and salary sacrifice entitlements such as company cars etc.
Skills required:
- Experience in payroll is essential, although it can be from any industry or sector.
- Excellent communication skills as you will be speaking to people on a daily basis over the phone and via email about their payroll queries.
- Someone who has strong numeracy skills with the attention to detail to match.
- Experience using any payroll system such as Sage Payroll, IRIS or Brightpay etc
