Gi Pro are proud to be working in partnership with a well-known manufacturing company, who are one of the most well-known manufacturers in the UK, the company in question are looking for an electrical bias multi-skilled maintenance engineer.

Job Role:

As the core member of the engineering team, you will be reporting directly to the engineering Operations manager, you will be tasked with the leadership of shift including prioritisation of service contractors and workload. You will have a proven track record of working within a similar environment as a lead or senior engineer. You will have had technical hands-on engineering experience working with a range of maintenance activities on site.

Typical Duties will involve:

  • Ensures production priorities are understood in order that maintenance works are carried out enabling orders to be met.
  • Working closely with Operations Manager to ensure planning of engineering activities are fully supported.
  • Provide expert front-line engineering knowledge.
  • Ensure company and statutory Health and Safety regulations are met.
  • Liaise with service contractors and oversee service agreements and maintenance.
  • Make and maintain the right engineering decisions.

Desirable experience

  • Electrical bias
  • Manufacturing maintenance
  • Awareness and understanding of statutory requirements and legislation.
  • Experience of repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment in a controlled environment, 3 phase, control panels, speed controllers, electrical heating thermocouples, motors, gearboxes, sensors, conveyors.
  • Strong diagnostic, fault finding capability, pneumatics and panel building from scratch.
  • Managing safe working practices
