Initial Response Social Worker

This South West of England council are looking for Social Workers for their Initial Response team primarily in the North region although there is one IRT vacancy in the South. An agency Social Worker can expect:

Caseloads are now really stable, with the support from the project team taking the pressure off.�

Duty for IRT workers is manageable with steady case management and front door.

Management is strong and supportive, with drop in CIN sessions, peer forums

We can offer training and ongoing L&D available for all Agency workers.

Caseloads are approximately 25 children per worker for IRT and C&F, we also have Family Practitioners supporting on direct work, good partnership working with our schools social work project, Early Help and Early intervention to ensure strong social support to prevent re-referrals.

In this service, it�is fast paced and would require a quick, robust initial assessment and then a step up or step down case decision�as the cases are non-long term case-holding.
