Tezlom is currently recruiting for this exciting opportunity for an Activities Healthcare Assistant (HCA), for our client based in Pinner, London As an Healthcare/Activities Assistant you'll support residents' well-being by facilitating engaging activities, promoting social interaction, and ensuring their comfort and safety, while also assisting with basic care tasks as needed

Service: Nursing Home (62 Beds)

Hrs per Week: 37.5hrs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with Activity Planning and Facilitation:
- Assist the Activities Coordinator with developing and implementing activity schedules that cater to residents' interests and needs.
- Assist with organizing a variety of activities, including games, outings, crafts, music, and social gatherings.
- Resident Interaction and Support:
- Encourage residents to participate in activities and social interactions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Assist residents with mobility, personal care, and other basic needs as required.
- Basic Care Tasks:
- Assisting with personal care tasks such as dressing, bathing, and toileting.
- Helping residents with mobility, including walking and transfers.
- Serving meals and assisting with feeding.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
- Documentation and Communication:
- Maintain accurate records of residents' participation in activities and their progress.
- Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals and staff members about residents' needs and preferences.
- Report any concerns or changes in residents' conditions or behaviour.
- Teamwork and Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, doctors, and therapists, to provide holistic care.
- Participate in team meetings and staff training sessions.
