Dealership Accountant - Plymouth

Salary: £55,000 plus company benefits, including a company car.

Working Hours: 40 hour week - Monday - Friday - full time on site - 8am - 5pm / 8:30am -5:30pm - can be flexible

Our client is seeking a fully trained Dealership Accountant to join their already successful motor trade team working within a busy commercial dealer. You need to be a team player, able to work to deadlines and have the ability to use your own initiative.

Experience in a Motor-trade Dealership Accounts position within the automotive industry is preferable.

As part of our client's accounts team you will be responsible for:-

  • To perform month end tasks (including accruals, prepayments and reconciliations) within deadlines set
  • To chase payments, resolving queries, posting daily banking and other credit control duties
  • To assist with scanning invoices, paying suppliers, reconciling supplier statements and posting daily payments
  • To keep filing up-to-date
  • General office duties
  • Ad-hoc duties as required

The ideal candidate will be:-

  • Possess a calm and even temperament
  • Be able to work as part of a team
  • Be approachable, enthusiastic and willing to learn
  • Have a flexible attitude
  • Be able to communicate effectively with colleagues across all departments
  • To work accurately and efficiently to meet targets and deadlines
  • Experience administrator with previous experience within accounts
  • Good Kerridge, Excel and IT skills
