Experienced Cover Supervisors – Supply Roles Across Plymouth Schools

We are looking for experienced Cover Supervisors to join our team and work on a flexible, supply basis across a range of schools in Plymouth. This role is ideal for individuals who are confident in managing a classroom and already have experience working in this capacity.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lesson plans, maintaining classroom order, and ensuring students remain engaged in the absence of their regular teacher. Your ability to manage behaviour and support learning is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising classes during teacher absences

• Delivering set lesson plans and facilitating classroom activities

• Managing behaviour in accordance with school policies

• Providing feedback to teaching staff on student behaviour and participation

• Creating a positive and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor is essential

• Strong behaviour management and communication skills

• Flexibility to work in different schools and adapt quickly to new environments

• A proactive, professional approach

• A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

• Degree (in any subject) is essential
