Lead Quality Assurance Engineer - up to £45,000 + Bonus + Benefits - REF 1912
I am currently recruiting for a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to work for a leading engineering organisation based in Devon. Salary up to £45,000 + Bonus + Benefits.
The company are leaders within their field of expertise and are seen as the go to organisation within their specialist product area, not only in the UK, but on an international basis. They have multiple offices throughout the UK, as well as being strategically positioned throughout the world. They have gone from strength to strength over recent years and via organic growth as well as a range of acquisitions they have strengthened their client offering ensuring they stay at the forefront of the market.
To support the growth of the business they now have the need to appoint a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer on a permanent basis.
In this role as a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring and managing a small team of other Quality professionals. You will be expected to aid them with their investigations with a view of coming up with appropriate solutions, as well as carry out your own which will tend to be the more complex and sophisticated problems that arise. You will be involved in hosting the notified body internal audits and could be expected on an annual basis to get involved in supplier audits. You will also get involved with the team your leadings appraisals and reviews.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer, Senior Quality Assurance Engineer or similar
- Previous experience mentoring, leading or managing people within an engineering focused role
- Experience working within a highly regulated environment that carries a high degree of risk management
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
Ideal Requirements:
- Certified Lead Auditor
