About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Civil and Structural Engineer to support major infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will assist the Discipline Lead in delivering structural engineering work packages, ensuring scope, quality, schedule, and cost requirements are met. The role involves technical management and oversight of complex design development throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Discipline Lead in delivering structural engineering packages.
* Prepare, check, and manage designs, analyses, reports, drawings, and specifications.
* Participate in problem-solving and the development of technical solutions.
* Lead the development of design work packages and supervise junior staff.
* Provide technical guidance on design coordination and project planning.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
* Interface with project managers, safety engineers, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree in an engineering discipline (preferably chartered or working towards chartership).
* Proven experience in civil and structural engineering, ideally in a regulated industry (e.g., nuclear or defence).
* Knowledge of seismic design, dock structures, and heavy civil engineering.
* Familiarity with building services and architectural design of industrial buildings.
* Strong understanding of design safety practices and quality management.
* Proficiency in engineering project planning and resource management.

Please note that due to security nature of this role, offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining SC security clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and will require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
