- Reconciling rent payments and allocating them to the right accounts
- Registering deposits and processing outgoing payments
- Auditing tenancy records and chasing any outstanding rent (mainly by phone)
- Paying landlords and contractors accurately and on time
- Managing utility bills and council tax charges across the portfolio
- Keeping systems and records up to date and error-free
- Speaking with tenants, landlords, and local authorities to resolve queries
- Supporting other departments during busy periods (especially summer!)
- Strong admin experience is a must – this isn’t an entry-level role, and you'll need to hit the ground running
- You don’t need to have worked in accounts before, but you do need to be comfortable with numbers and have a good head for detail
- Confident communicator – both written and over the phone
- Organised, methodical, and calm under pressure
- IT savvy and quick to pick up new systems
- A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in wherever needed
- Bonus if you’ve worked in lettings, property, or finance – but not essential
- Competitive salary: £24,000–£26,000 depending on experience
