Randstad Education is looking for a reliable and hardworking cleaner to join one of the beautiful schools in the Plymouth area. The successful candidate will ensure that the school is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene, providing a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Working Hours: 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out daily cleaning duties across the school premises, including classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets, and communal areas.

  • Ensure that all high-touch surfaces are regularly sanitized in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

  • Empty bins, manage waste disposal, and ensure recycling is properly sorted.

  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; polish and buff floors as required.

  • Replenish supplies in toilets and other areas as necessary, including soap, hand sanitizer, and toilet paper.

Requirements:

  • Previous cleaning experience, preferably within a school or similar environment, is desirable but not essential.

  • Good understanding of cleaning methods and equipment.

  • Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently.

  • Willingness to work additional hours when required, including during school holidays for deep cleaning.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and colleagues.
