Multi Trade Operative / General Builder

Location: Plymouth

Hourly Rate: Negotiable depending on experience- paid CIS

Dk Recruitment is working on behalf of a small but busy building company based in Plymouth, working on a wide variety of private domestic and developer-led projects. From house extensions and loft conversions to kitchen fits and property reconfigurations.

They’re looking for a Multi Trade Operative / General Builder to join their team on a long-term basis. Ideally, your main trade will be carpentry, but they need someone who’s hands-on, adaptable, and happy to muck in wherever needed. Whether it’s groundworks, painting and decorating, plaster boarding, or first fix carpentry - they work as a team to get the job done. This may suit someone who has been self-employed but is fed up with trying to search for the work themselves!

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong carpentry skills (first and second fix desirable)
  • A "grafter" mindset - hardworking, reliable, and takes pride in a quality finish
  • Someone who’s personable and confident when dealing with private customers
  • Willing to get stuck in with a variety of building tasks - no job too big or small
  • Own van and tools are essential
  • Must be CIS registered
  • Based in or around Plymouth (travel outside the city is very rare)
