We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Cost Controller to work on one of the largest defence projects in the UK. The role is a hybrid role, with a few days consecutive on site every month (expensed).

This role offers the opportunity to join a growing and ambitious team responsible for delivering complex infrastructure projects in support of the UK submarine programme. The successful candidate will play a key role in cost management and project controls, supporting a portfolio of capital investment projects across a major naval site.

This position is ideal for individuals with a background in project controls, cost management, finance, or project support who are looking to broaden their skills within a dynamic environment. It will particularly suit motivated candidates keen to develop their expertise in large-scale infrastructure delivery within a highly regulated sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain project baseline budgets.
  • Monitor, validate, and control project accruals, commitments, and resource forecasts.
  • Manage and control cost risk budgets and financial change processes.
  • Provide accurate financial performance and cost reports, including earned value analysis.
  • Deliver key reporting outputs such as cost breakdown structures, estimates at completion, and lessons learned updates.
