Our client is a leading industrial process & manufacturing company, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. They are looking for a charismatic, driven Electrical Technician to join their expanding team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of electrical, ICA, PLC, and combustion systems
  • Implement and follow a preventive maintenance plan to ensure optimal plant performance
  • Diagnose and repair faults in instrumentation and control systems
  • Maintain compliance with ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards and all relevant safety legislation
  • Support other engineering and maintenance activities as needed
  • Use the CMMS system for work order management, reporting, and materials sourcing
  • Lead and support plant improvement initiatives focused on electrical and ICA systems
  • Conduct risk assessments and apply safe systems of work at all times
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including providing maintenance reports and shift handovers

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Completed electrical engineering maintenance apprenticeship (Indentured or NVQ Level 3 with BTEC or equivalent)
  • Hands-on experience in maintaining fixed industrial plant and equipment, ideally in a heavy industry setting
  • Familiarity with pumps, mills, burners/furnaces, welding, and chemical processing systems is advantageous
  • Strong IT skills for inventory management and work order reporting
  • Experience with combustion systems, PLCs, and control instrumentation preferred
  • Full UK driving license required

Technical & Personal Skills:

  • Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and Variable Speed Drive systems
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 standards regarding instrument calibration
  • Proficient in applying Health & Safety regulations, risk assessments, and lone working practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, flexible team
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement (e.g. 5S, Root Cause Analysis, KPI management)
  • Willingness to undertake additional training across mechanical, control, and process systems
