Our client, a forward-thinking organisation undergoing a period of progressive growth, is currently seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Credit Control Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the finance function and optimising the company's credit control processes to enhance revenue and spearhead initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and reducing costs.

The responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end credit control workflow, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Lead efforts to recover overdue payments efficiently and effectively.
  • Handle reconciliations for debtor accounts and intercompany transactions.
  • Oversee bad debt provisions and implement strategies to minimise risk.
  • Optimise supplier rebate opportunities to maximise financial benefits.
  • Evaluate revenue streams from operations for insights.
  • Address and resolve credit card chargeback disputes proactively.
  • Supervise purchase ledger payments, supplier terms, and discounts.
  • Deliver detailed debtor reports to senior management monthly.
  • Assist with month-end processes and provide support for year-end audits.

The candidate:

  • Proven experience in credit control within a commercial environment, with a strong understanding of financial processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data effectively.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to challenge existing processes and drive improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

This role would suit a Credit Control Supervisor, Credit Control Team Leader, Accounts Receivable Manager, Accounts Receivable Supervisor, Collections Specialist, Credit Controller, Credit Control Asistant.

The role would be commutable from Plymouth, Saltash, Ivybridge, Plympton, Tavistock, Liskeard, Newton Abbot, Torquay, Buckfastleigh, Totnes.
