Service Care Solutions is currently working alongside a thriving local authority, based in Plymouth, which needs an ambitious Employment Lawyer to join their team. As an Employment Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing legal advice in relation to Employment Law, policy, and governance. You will also be appearing as an advocate for the Council in Court and at tribunals.

ROLE: Employment Lawyer - local authority

RATE: 38,000 to 42,000

LOCATION: Plymouth - hybrid

CONTRACT LENGTH: 12-month contract

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle your own Employment law caseload from start to completion
  • Deal with matters in relation to Employment Law regarding both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
  • Advise on TUPE and a broad range of other employment issues for clients

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with experience in Employment Law (1-3 years of PQE)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • This role does not require you to have prior local authority experience!
