Our client, a prominent South West-based business, is currently recruiting an experienced Credit Control Assistant to join their rapidly expanding team on a full-time, permanent basis.

In this role, as Credit Control Assistant, you will play a vital part in maintaining the smooth operation of the high-volume credit control processes and ensuring timely payments through effective management of the purchase ledger.

The responsibilities:

  • Assist the Credit Control Manager with credit management activities and processes.
  • Generate and reconcile sales ledger invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee debt recovery efforts and manage provisions for doubtful debts effectively.
  • Calculate and track supplier turnover rebates on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Process supplier payments through the purchase ledger system.
  • Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, debtor control accounts, and intercompany transactions.

The candidate:

  • Proven experience in credit control or a related field is highly advantageous.
  • A meticulous approach with a strong commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
  • The ability to handle multiple responsibilities, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
