CK Group are recruiting for an EHS Engineer, on behalf of medical equipment manufacturer based in Plymouth on a permanent basis.

In this role, the successful candidate will work as part of a team to ensure the site complies with all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability legislation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To assist management in implementing and maintaining the standards required of the health and safety at work act, and all other codes of practice and relevant standards.
  • Act as the key contact and facilitator for external visits and audits from relevant agencies
  • Establish appropriate processes and controls to ensure that the site will maintain ISO14001 certified
  • Carry out risk assessments on assembly equipment new and old, ensuring that the safety and wellbeing is not compromised
  • Create COSHH Risk assessments and maintain the sites COSHH Risk Assessment database
  • Identify any needs to carry out Health and Safety training across the site.

Candidate requirements - skills and experience:
  • NEBOSH, IOSH or NVQ H&S qualification or equivalent experience is essential
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Engineering qualification would be an advantage
  • Project management and / or team leadership experience would be an advantage
