About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for a Manufacturing Excellence Manager. This is a senior role focused on improving manufacturing processes, reducing waste, and driving efficiency. You will lead projects, mentor teams, and ensure high standards across the site.

Main Responsibilities
  • Introduce and manage a Production System across all departments.
  • Monitor budgets and track improvement initiatives.
  • Work with the Manufacturing Manager to improve KPIs.
  • Reduce waste and improve performance using Lean tools.
  • Lead and coach teams on continuous improvement.
  • Apply best practices like 6S, root cause analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Set up systems to measure performance and cost savings.
  • Build a network of improvement champions and share best practices.
  • Manage multiple improvement projects and measure results.
  • Identify opportunities for investment and create business cases.
  • Promote a culture of high performance and accountability.
Experience Needed
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience (desirable).
  • Leadership qualification Level 5 (desirable).
  • At least 5 years in a manufacturing leadership role.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement (Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or willing to train).
  • Strong leadership and ability to challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, lean manufacturing, and budget control.
