Who you’ll be working for:

What you’ll be doing:

This key role involves the assembly and maintenance of innovative furniture systems designed for flexible use in multi-purpose education spaces. Your commitment to performing your job to the highest standards will ensure uninterrupted access to equipment and learning spaces for young people.

The successful candidate will travel across the UK, visiting multiple sites each day, and work locally in Plymouth during quieter periods.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Service and maintain space-saving furniture solutions for educational environments.
  • Follow technical and assembly instructions meticulously.
  • Ensure equipment meets compliance standards, including PUWER regulations.
  • Travel UK-wide, staying overnight in pre-booked hotels with a food allowance.
  • Prepare reports to meet compliance requirements.
  • Contact suppliers regarding spare parts.

What experience you need:

  • Excellent DIY, maintenance, and handyman skills.
  • Experience with PUWER regulations is highly desirable.
  • Methodical approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with UK-wide travel and overnight stays.
  • Based in Plymouth or within an easy commutable distance.
  • Full driving license.
  • Successful candidates will have to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
