Temporary Works Coordinator


Location: Plymouth - Devonport Project (full-time site based)
Rate: c450 per day (Umbrella PAYE)
Contract: Contract role
Hours: 42.5 hrs per week (approx. 08:00-17:00)



Role Overview


We are seeking an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) to support a major construction programme on the Devonport project. Working within the engineering team and reporting to the Lead TWC / Engineering Manager, you will coordinate all Temporary Works activities on site within a secure, regulated environment.
BPSS security clearance required (process can take up to 8 weeks). Candidates must have lived in the UK for the last 5 years and hold a NATO or MISWG passport.



Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Temporary Works between site teams and designers
  • Review and manage TW design briefs and submissions
  • Manage TW through design, approval, implementation, inspection, and dismantling
  • Ensure TW are installed in line with approved designs
  • Carry out site inspections and issue TW permits
  • Coordinate Temporary Works Supervisors
  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ, legal, and project procedures


Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a TWC on heavy civils / major construction projects
  • Nuclear, defence, or other regulated environment experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Temporary Works procedures
  • Experience with RC, formwork, and falsework schemes
  • Civil engineering qualification or equivalent desirable
