Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to support a major infrastructure programme delivering upgraded dock and building facilities for submarine sustainment. This role involves overseeing and reviewing design packages, ensuring structural integrity, compliance with safety standards, and integration with broader engineering systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and review civil/structural engineering aspects of dock infrastructure (Water Retaining Boundary)

  • Provide technical oversight, design guidance, and subject matter expertise

  • Coordinate with sub-consultants and stakeholders to ensure designs meet operational and safety requirements

  • Support planning and implementation phases of the project

  • Ensure documentation, quality control, and risk management are upheld

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Chartered or working towards)

  • Experience in heavy civils, preferably marine structures

  • Knowledge of marine remedial repairs and seismic design (preferred)

  • Proven track record managing subcontractors and design consultants
