??Job Title: Payroll Administrator

We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Administrator to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services to a diverse client base

?? Key Responsibilities

  • Administer end-to-end payroll processing for a diverse portfolio of clients using Sage, Xero, and BrightPay.
  • Collect, verify, and input timekeeping and pay data accurately.
  • Calculate salaries, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.).
  • Ensure accurate PAYE, NI, pension, and statutory contribution deductions.
  • Process BACS payments and distribute payslips/reports on time.
  • Maintain and update payroll records for starters, leavers, and employee changes.
  • Prepare and submit RTI returns and statutory filings to HMRC.
  • Generate payroll journals and reports for client accounts.
  • Handle client queries on payroll, tax codes, and employee deductions with professionalism.
  • Liaise with pension providers and manage auto-enrolment requirements.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance and adherence to payroll legislation.
  • Support clients with year-end payroll processes, including P60s and P11Ds.

?? Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven payroll administration experience, ideally within a bureau or accountancy practice.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems such as BrightPay, Xero, or Sage.
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and numerical ability.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, able to handle multiple deadlines.
  • Strong communication and client service skills, with a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.
