We are seeking a fully qualified Domestic Gas Engineer who is ready to undertake commercial gas training and expand their career into commercial gas work. Main Duties:

  • Carry out regular inspections and maintenance of gas systems and appliances to ensure their safe and efficient operation. Your attention to detail ensures minimal disruptions and enhances system longevity.
  • Respond to emergency call-outs for gas system failures, diagnosing and rectifying issues promptly to minimise downtime and risk.
  • Promote a pro-active Safety Culture, ensuring that every project meets the highest safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team.
  • Provide insightful technical guidance and supervision to junior staff, apprentices, and other trades.
  • Conduct detailed inspections and maintenance of gas systems and appliances to identify and resolve issues.
  • Ensure safe operation of all gas appliances, including boilers and heaters, to deliver peace of mind and service continuity to clients.
  • Identify, diagnose, and rectify any issues related to gas systems, taking timely action to prevent complications.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, including valves, regulators, and pipes ensuring safety of systems.
  • Maintain detailed records of gas-related work, including service reports, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
  • Utilise your plumbing experience to conduct general repairs and maintenance tasks, adding value through your diversified skill set.
  • Conduct general repairs and servicing tasks.
  • Undertake commercial gas training, progressively taking on commercial works.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • CCN1 - Core Domestic Gas Safety
  • CENWAT - Central Heating & Water Systems
  • HWA – Unvented Hot Water Systems
  • CIGA – Indirect Fired Water Heating Appliances
  • CSCS Card

Desirable:

  • COCN1 -Core Commercial Gas Safety NG
  • Additional COCN1 commercial elements for broader competency
  • HTR1 / HTR2 - High Temperature Hot Water Systems
  • Experience with commercial boilers and heating systems
