Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Plymouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a nurturing environment, supporting students with a range of special educational needs including autism, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with support staff and SENCO to implement EHCPs
- Monitor and report on student progress
- Foster a love of learning and help students build confidence in their literacy skills
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working in SEN settings is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
