The school is based in Whitleigh, Plymouth PL5 catering for children aged 11-16 with SEMH and MLD. All children have an EHCP and do not cope in a mainstream setting. The school is looking for eager and willing candidates who want to learn and grow.

Responsibilities:     
      

  • Guide students in the role of a Teaching Assistant
  • Apply strategies customised to address the specific needs of individual students.  
  • Work in cooperation with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop support plans.  
  • Foster a nurturing environment that promotes improved social interactions and communication skills.  
  • Assist with daily tasks, academic activities, and implement interventions to address behaviour.  

     
Requirements:     
      

  • Having previous experience as a Mental Health Support Worker is a plus    
  • Effective communication abilities to ensure clear interactions    
  • Demonstrated Patience and Empathy    
  • Flexibility and Adaptability    
  • Dedication to the Success of Students
