We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible, and highly motivated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and welcoming school. This role involves working alongside class teachers to support children across all areas of the curriculum, focusing on 19.5 hours per week, preferably from Wednesday to Friday.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support children across various areas of the curriculum, adapting to their individual learning needs.
  • Communicate effectively with children and adults, maintaining a positive and supportive environment.
  • Show a high degree of initiative and react to situations with integrity and compassion.
  • Liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school to promote effective learning.
  • Promote inclusion through the development of social skills, language, and emotional wellbeing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Good standard of general education, particularly in numeracy and literacy.
  • Effective communication skills with both children and adults.
  • Flexible attitude and a can-do approach.
  • Friendly and approachable personality with a good sense of humour.
  • Experience in supporting children with special educational needs, particularly PDA and autism, is desirable.
  • Experience or training in Read Write Inc. is advantageous but not essential.
