Position: Order Processing & Stock Administration
Location: York
Salary: 12.50 per hour 40 hours per week.
Job Type: Fulltime - Temporary
Hours: 8-5 pm
Days: Monday - Friday


Key Responsibilities:


What We're Looking For

  • Carry out all administration related to processing orders, ensuring accurate accounting, documentation, and compliance with company processes and procedures.
  • Handle trade counter enquiries and associated cash sales, providing excellent customer service.
  • Control stock investment and stock availability to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure supplies are distributed promptly and efficiently, adhering to Finance, BASIS, Poisons regulations, and other relevant requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with internal and external standards including BASIS, Water and Fire Regulations, Health and Safety Executive, and Ministry of Transport inspections.
  • Monitor and uphold compliance with Working Time Regulations and other industry-specific regulations.
  • Ensure accurate accounting and reporting procedures are followed in relation to company finances and stock.
  • Safeguard the security of company cash, stock, and property.
  • Support TPL administration, ensuring correct documentation and effective communication with both local and wider teams, including TPL providers.
  • Strong administration skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Experience in order processing, stock management, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Familiarity with BASIS, Poisons Regulations, and Health & Safety standards is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of financial procedures and cash handling.
