We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Recycling Baler to join our team. The Recycling Baler will play a crucial role in the efficient processing of recyclable materials, ensuring that they are compacted and prepared for transport. This position requires a strong understanding of machinery and the ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily operations.
Duties
- Operate and maintain baling machines to compress recyclable materials into bales for shipment.
- Monitor the baling process to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
- Conduct regular inspections and basic maintenance on baling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Sort and prepare materials for baling, ensuring that contaminants are removed.
- Assist in the movement of bales using forklifts or other equipment as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and improve operational processes.
Experience
- Previous experience in a recycling or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge is preferred, with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Experience with heavy lifting and physical labour is essential, as the role involves handling substantial weights regularly.
