The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the South Kirkby area. We are looking for experienced Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.
Hours:Monday to Friday , 1pm starts
Pay Rate:£16.37 per hour PAYE
Location:South Kirkby , WF9
Job Type: Temporary to permanent.
The role:
Collect Euro Bins (which contain clinical and offensive waste ) from various customers
Prepare the small base truck for daily operations.
Utilise a compaction vehicle for waste disposal.
Perform local collections, wheeling bins to the back of the truck, and operating the bin pick-up mechanism.
Use a PDA for tracking and recording collections.
Depending on the volume, complete up to 35 collections during your shift.
. Off load truck at local recycling centre then return truck to yard
Maintain physical fitness, as the role involves some heavy lifting.
Requirements:
Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
Have at least 1 year of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
Full understanding of WTD legislation.
Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
Willingness to learn and adapt to our waste management processes.
Availability for early morning shifts and occasional weekend work.
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
Physical fitness and capability to handle waste containers.
