Job role: Process Operative

Location: South Kirkby

Pay rate: 14.04/hr

Hours of work: 12 hour shifts (6am-6pm/6pm-6am) 4 on 4 off days & nights, include weekend working

First Choice are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, based in South Kirkby. We are looking for process operatives to work on the busy recycling facility.

Ideal candidates will have experience in a similar role and industry, however full training will be provided.

Responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the plant and for ensuring the facility is kept clean and tidy at all times. You will also manage health and safety in your immediate area as well as take responsibility for housekeeping bycleaning the surrounding area, completing daily logs and reporting any defects to your Shift Team Leader.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Monitor plant process
  • Assisting in the safe & efficient operation of the Facility
  • Performing routine checks & monitoring equipment
  • Cleaning & housekeeping
  • Take samples and complete basic quality checks
  • Work in accordance with Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality policies
  • Working relationship with Operations Management Team
  • Identify or support continuous improvement projects
  • Daily cleaning of machinery within the Facility and providing light maintenance of equipment

Candidate Requirements

  • Good understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance
  • Strong people skills; be able to communicate at all levels throughout the company and externally
  • Flexibility to work across all of the residual waste plant and other areas of the site as required
  • A proactive approach to work
  • Good organisational skills
