Location: Farmer Copleys Farm, Pontefract

Salary: 12.21 per hour

Job Type: Permanent, Part time 25.5hrs per week (3 days) with flexibility to pick up other shifts

At Farmer Copleys we celebrate and showcase everything that is great about British food and farming.

We have a successful award-winning farm shop, a busy caf (MOO), an on-site bakery, a Gelato parlour and we host a range of functions including weddings, funerals, baby showers and corporate events.

Moo Caf opens seven days a week and offers a delicious seasonal menu and daily specials. We promote the very best of Yorkshire with the meat being sourced from our award winning on-site butchery.

We are now looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our busy team.

Main responsibilities:

  • To ensure that working areas, working utensils such as carving boards, blenders, cutters, pots and pans etc are cleaned and sanitised as per company hygiene standards
  • To soak, prewash and wash all food and beverage operating equipment
  • To distribute clean equipment to assigned shelving
  • To clean and mop the kitchen floor when required
  • To change rubbish bag and ensure rubbish is disposed of in the appropriate manner
  • To clean any food and beverage back of house areas
  • To be responsible for the correct use of detergents and chemicals
  • Help receive deliveries and store food items accordingly
  • To support chefs with basic food prep
  • To ensure deep clean and basic cleaning jobs are completed to standard
