Veritas Education are recruiting for a creative and enthusiastic Textiles Teacher to join a high-performing secondary school in Pontefract from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead engaging and practical lessons in a well-equipped Design & Technology department, adopting a love for fabric, fashion, and design in students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Textiles or a related Design & Technology subject in a secondary school
- Be passionate about inspiring creativity and innovation in young learners
- Be confident in planning and delivering practical and theory-based lessons
- Have strong classroom management and excellent communication skills
You will be joining a supportive and ambitious team within a school that values hands-on learning and celebrates student success in the arts and design subjects. The department is well-resourced, with access to specialist textiles equipment and facilities.
