Sonic Summary

Our client is seeking 4 welder fabricators for a temp to perm position in the design of bespoke generator enclosures.
The rate of pay ranges from £14.50 to £17.00 per hour, with overtime paid at 1.5 times the regular rate.
Candidates must have previous work experience as a metal fabricator welder, specifically with mild steel and other sheet materials.
Proficiency in operating an overhead crane and welding certification are advantageous, along with the ability to read engineering drawings.
The role requires the ability to lift heavy metal objects and stand for long periods, with an initial weld test required before starting.

Job description:

Our client is an industry leader in the design from start to finish of bespoke generator enclosures. They require 4 welder fabricators on a temp to perm basis.

Rate of Pay: £14.50 - £17.00 per hour (PAYE)

Overtime is paid at 1.5x

Hours of work

Monday to Thursday: 0700 - 1600

Friday: 0700 - 1300

There will be an initial weld test to take first before starting.

Fabricator/Welder requirements

Previous work experience as a metal fabricator welder.
Previously experience working with mild steel, Zintec & galvanised sheet. Ranging from 0.9mm to 30mm.
Previous experience working with mild steel 2mm to 10mm
Proficiency in operating an overhead crane is an advantage.
Welding experience/certification is an advantage.
Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures.
Ability to read and interpret engineering 2D & 3D Drawings.
Proficiency with metal fabrication tools.
Advanced mathematical and engineering skills.
Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.
Ability to stand for long periods.
