Thrive Personnel Ltd are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator/Welder to create high-quality acoustic enclosures for our clients. The ideal candidate will be adept at interpreting engineering drawings and possess advanced knowledge of industrial metalwork. A keen eye for detail and excellent mathematical skills are essential for constructing products to exact specifications.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret engineering 2D & 3D drawings.
Measure and mark cutting and bending lines accurately.
Ensure all parts required for assembly are present.
Double-check design specifications before starting work.
Fabricate and construct metal components.
Grind and finish completed products to a high standard.
Perform quality checks on finished products.
Adhere to company Health & Safety regulations.
Complete quality check sheets thoroughly.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a metal fabricator welder.
Experience working with mild steel, Zintec & galvanised sheet (0.9mm to 30mm).
Experience working with mild steel (2mm to 10mm).
Proficiency in operating an overhead crane is an advantage.
Welding experience/certification is an advantage.
In-depth knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures.
Ability to interpret engineering 2D & 3D Drawings.
Proficiency with metal fabrication tools.
Strong mathematical and engineering skills.
Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm, Friday 7am-1pm. Closed for Bank Holidays and a Christmas shutdown.
