About the Role
My client, a leading manufacturer in Pontypool, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their finance team. The company operates with a reputation for quality and innovation, delivering industry-leading products within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all financial operations including month-end and year-end reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Manage and improve financial systems, including the use of Sage Intacct finance software
- Provide timely financial analysis and guidance to support business decision-making
- Lead internal controls and audit processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and operational efficiencies
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role, preferably within manufacturing or construction-related industries
- Strong knowledge of Sage Intacct or other Sage accounting software is highly desirable
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Relevant professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) preferred
