I'm looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join my client who are located north west of Cardiff. They are a fast-growing business, who specialise in electrical contracting and security systems across the UK.

The new BDM, will lead and expand their commercial growth across the UK and Europe, reporting the the Director.

You'll play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, winning new business, and building long-term client relationships. The position offers scope, autonomy, and high earning potential for someone ambitious and results-driven.

About the role:

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across key sectors (commercial, retail, construction)
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline, from initial contact through to tender and close
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
  • Collaborate with the operational and engineering teams to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Prepare proposals, quotes, and assist with bid/tender documentation

About you:

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within construction, M&E, security systems, or facilities services
  • Strong network and understanding of procurement processes in commercial and retail sectors
  • A confident communicator with excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Comfortable with regular travel (UK and Europe)
  • Self-starter with a track record of hitting and exceeding targets
