We're looking for a Quality Engineer to join a well-established composites manufacturer based in Poole. This is a full-time, permanent role working on-site. You'll play a key part in making sure products meet customer standards, leading quality checks, solving problems, and improving processes.


Salary: From 45,000 per year
Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8am - 5pm
  • Friday: 8am - 2pm
  • On-site only
  • DBS check required


Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Engineering and Production to plan and manage quality checks.
  • Make sure customer quality standards are understood and followed.
  • Lead quality inspections and sign off on finished products.
  • Manage and fix any issues with product quality.
  • Carry out First Article Inspections (FAIRs) to customer or AS9102 standards.
  • Review and report on quality data to improve processes.
  • Ensure the business follows ISO 9001 standards.
  • Manage and support a Quality Inspector on your team.


What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a manufacturing quality role (composites is a plus).
  • Able to read technical drawings and use inspection tools.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, 5S, Lean, and root cause analysis.
  • Confident with Microsoft Office and working under pressure.
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
  • CQI qualification is a bonus.
