Quality Control Operative

At Charles Trent Ltd, we’re leaders in vehicle recycling and parts supply, and we’re looking for a Component Processor to join our busy Quality Control team in Poole.

In this role, you’ll help ensure the highest quality recycled parts – from headlights to engines – are inspected, cleaned, photographed, and packaged for resale. It’s a hands-on role that combines attention to detail with teamwork, supporting our mission to keep quality green parts moving across the UK.

• Inspecting car parts to ensure they are in sound condition with no damage
• Preparing, tagging, and photographing parts according to company standards
• Packaging products to a high standard, ready for dispatch
• Processing damaged parts as required
• Working closely with our Warehouse and Production Line teams to keep operations running smoothly
• Working on a swing shift pattern (Monday - Friday, alternating 6am - 3pm and 3pm - 12am)

• Hands on experience with cars/vehicles, whether through personal projects or professional work, is essential
• Good basic knowledge of vehicle parts (Level 1 in car mechanics preferred but not essential)
• Manual handling experience and the ability to work carefully and accurately
• Health and safety awareness
• Good IT skills, including mobile and tablet use
• Reliability, a strong work ethic, solid organisation and good communication skills
