Location: Poole, Dorset

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00 (Hours negotiable)

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience + time-saved bonus

Job Description: Igloo is looking for a talented Panel Beater to join our client’s team in Poole, Dorset on a permanent basis! Our client, a leading family-owned automotive maintenance and repair business, is known for its exceptional service across the south of England. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring top-notch repairs by precisely stripping and refitting vehicle parts, while adhering to high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately strip and refit vehicle parts as required for repairs.
  • Review and follow job cards with precision, ensuring all repairs are completed to a high standard.
  • Report any additional parts needed to the Workshop Controller/Estimator.
  • Complete check sheets at each repair stage to maintain clear documentation.
  • Set up and use welding and extraction equipment safely.
  • Align panels accurately for seamless repairs and apply fillers correctly.
  • Refer to the operations manual for guidance on repair systems and filler application.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, promptly reporting any equipment faults.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and operational efficiency.
  • Address and report any issues to the Workshop Controller promptly.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Own tools essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of car mechanics, bodywork, and frame repair skills.
  • Strong manual skills with a focus on precision and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and effective time management.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
