Learning & Development Manager | Poole | £45,000

Design, lead, and embed a learning culture that develops people, drives performance, and supports long-term business growth.

We’re partnering with a values-led organisation investing heavily in its people agenda. With further growth on the horizon and a strong focus on people development, they’re seeking an experienced Learning & Development Manager to take full ownership of their training strategy - designing, delivering, and evolving learning programmes across the business.

You’ll be the central figure in building out a scalable, engaging, and effective approach to learning. From creating leadership pathways and graduate schemes to implementing a new Learning Management System, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing talent and supporting succession.

Reporting into the Chief People Officer, this is a broad, hands-on position ideal for someone passionate about people development and business impact.

In return you’ll work for a company that truly values the people, working in a modern office environment, receive a monthly and annual profit share scheme, unlimited refreshments including snacks and free lunch on a Friday, a birthday gift, employee assistance programme, regular social, and corporate events.

As Learning & Development Manager, you’ll:

  • Own the design, management, and continuous development of the companies learning & development vision
  • Deliver a business-aligned training strategy with engaging, accessible programmes across all levels
  • Build and manage a modular leadership and management development plan focused on soft skills and mid-level leadership
  • Design and deliver workshops, toolkits, and resources that upskill employees and promote a learning culture
  • Lead the rollout and ownership of a new Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Oversee the L&D budget and track ROI, ensuring commercial value from all initiatives
  • Support succession planning and workforce capability through skills gap analysis and training
  • Champion graduate and apprentice development - from onboarding to qualification and beyond
  • Be the central point of contact for all L&D initiatives, providing partnership across the People & Culture function

As Learning & Development Manager you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in an L&D role at Advisor or Manager level
  • Strong facilitation and instructional design skills across a range of formats (e-learning, workshops, on-the-job training)
  • The ability to influence and communicate across all levels of the business
  • Experience managing budgets and evaluating the impact of training
  • HR generalist experience (ideally at Business Partner level) and a collaborative mindset
  • A commercial and data-led approach to learning, always focused on impact

As Learning & Development Manager this is an opportunity to shape the future of talent development in a company that values its people and invests in growth from within.
