TeamJobs is recruiting for a hands-on and detail-driven Production & Quality Team Leader to join a well-established engineering company based in Poole.

The Role
You will be leading a small team of skilled technicians, ensuring that all production activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Your role will combine team supervision, hands-on testing, and continuous improvement to help drive quality, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily production and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
Supervise and motivate a team of 3-6 technicians.
Carry out electrical and mechanical inspections and functional testing.
Maintain production and quality documentation to ISO 9001 standards.
Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with design and engineering teams to optimise workflow.
Promote continuous improvement and ensure a safe working environment.
About You
Proven background in electrical manufacturing or control panel production.
Strong understanding of electrical/mechanical systems and wiring schematics.
Confident leading a small team while remaining hands-on.
Experience in quality assurance, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Desirable:
Level 3 Engineering qualification (or higher).
Experience supporting ISO 9001 audits.
Familiarity with PLC control systems.
