We are working with a specialist engineering business that designs and manufactures advanced electronic systems used in safety-critical applications.
Due to sustained growth and increasing demand, they are looking to add an experienced Electronics Engineer to a small, highly capable engineering team, where you'd be involved in the full product development life-cycle of their new systems.
The Role
This is a hands-on engineering role with real technical ownership. You will take responsibility for electronic systems across the full product lifecycle, from early concept through to testing, validation, and in-service support.
Typical responsibilities include:
-
Owning electronic system designs for one or more products
-
Working at system level, not just component level
-
Reviewing and assessing schematics and designs
-
Leading and contributing to design reviews
-
Supporting new product development (approx. 70%)
-
Supporting existing products, troubleshooting and production improvements (approx. 30%)
-
Working closely with mechanical engineers, software specialists, and production teams
-
Contributing to safety analysis and safety cases for critical systems
-
Involvement in environmental, qualification, and field testing
This is not a project management role, but you will naturally lead technical activity and act as a point of authority for your products.

You are likely to have:
-
A degree in Electronics or a closely related discipline
-
Industry experience in electronic product development
-
Strong schematic understanding and system-level thinking
