Key Responsibilities:
- Own, maintain, and develop Safety Cases for in-service assets and equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational standards.
- Monitor, interpret, and apply relevant legislation, standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the asset lifecycle.
- Act as the primary point of contact with certifying and regulatory authorities for compliance-related matters.
- Identify and assess engineering compliance risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Support design, modification, and operational activities by integrating compliance requirements.
- Plan and conduct audits, inspections, and compliance reviews, resolving findings promptly.
- Develop and improve compliance processes, guidance documents, and training materials.
- Investigate and resolve compliance-related technical issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Job Requirements:
- Chartered Engineer (Engineering Council) or equivalent qualification, or an engineering degree with progression towards Chartered status.
- Experience in marine design and safety assurance.
- Proven experience in Safety Case development and regulatory or classification society compliance.
- Leadership and staff management experience.
- Project management experience is desirable.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable with a collaborative approach.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home when required.
