ACCOUNT MANAGER JOB SUMMARY:
As an Internal Account Manager, you will be an integral member of the team, working alongside internal stakeholders, and customers directly, to support the smooth running and growth of your associated portfolio of clients. The Account Manager will support and develop business with existing customers, as well as nurture new business as it comes in.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNT MANAGER:
Manage your own portfolio of key accounts, ensuring that orders are fulfilled within agreed time frames and to associated KPIs.
Negotiate pricing, expand business opportunities and further develop these key accounts, through excellent customer service and account management
Ensure that orders are fulfilled within agreed time frames and handle any associated queries or issues that arise, during the allocation and movement of stock.
Respond to incoming calls and email queries relating to shipment, delivery, stock updates, or new order requirements etc
Document and record all customer interactions on internal CRM (log calls, emails, projects, tasks etc)
Analyse customer accounts to assess and identify opportunities to drive growth and increase profitability of customer accounts
Identify opportunities to upsell new products into existing / new accounts as they are onboarded.
Research and keep abreast with industry trends relating to your customer group, in order to suggest product ranges that may be suited / of interest
Schedule in customer account reviews and attend customer meetings (remotely via video) as required
Prepare relevant documents in line with the requirements of exporting goods out of the UK
Work closely with both the end customer, external transport / logistics companies, as well as the wider team, to ensure that the customer receives the best service at all times.
ACCOUNT MANAGER - SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Previous experience of working in an Account Manager / Business Development position is essential.
You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills, and previous experience of managing relationships with customers, as well as third party associates.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
Previous experience of working on CRM / ERP packages would be ideal our client have a very innovative approach and are constantly reviewing their systems and processes confidence to learn new systems, is essential.
Strong organisational and administration skills
Commercial acumen and the ability to analyse and interpret data leading to enhanced business opportunities, is essential.
Negotiation and persuasion skills will ensure that you are able to develop your portfolio of business, and that of new customers as they are assigned as key accounts.
The ability to build professional relationships, and to nurture and develop key accounts is essential.
This is an office-based Account Manager position, with no expectation to travel or work remotely. You will be based over at our clients head office in Poole.
